Spanish Autonomic Elections
wTVision is proud of its work with Televisión de Galicia (TVG) during the special program cover of the Autonomic Elections in Galicia and Pais Vasco last Sunday, March 1. This year’s program broadcasted 15 hours continuously, offering tele-viewers every hour updated results of the elections!
wTVision global service offered TVG’s TV presenter the flexibility to interact over a virtual set and present viewers virtual graphics! The power of visualization of graphics play a crucial role in an election night, making viewer’s experience more user-friendlier as they analyze and interpret results until the winner of the elections is finally confirmed, and a far more interesting one, too! To achieve this goal results in percentages, numbers of elected members and new composition of the autonomic parliaments were presented to tele-viewers in the form of graphics and virtual graphics, everything in real-time!
All the graphics were presented in 3D and viewers were able to watch comparisons with the 2005 elections, also in virtual and in full-screen!
wTVision’s Commentator allowed TVG’s team to visualize in real-time the up-date of results. The global service supported the TV station to reach its goals in one of the most complex real-time on-air graphics projects – an electoral broadcast! A combination of teamwork, technology and expertise, effectively supported TVG in providing its viewers with an excellence service!
The outcome was TVG had an audience share of 38,9%!
The whole project was based on wTVision's own Slides CG V3 framework, wTVision solution that supports Election CG, application designed for any sort of electoral events and includes all requirements that allow a TV station to manage an electoral TV broadcast!
The project is a first for any Spanish television in terms of the use of a 100% virtual set for the coverage of an election night. When commissioning the project, TVG stressed the need to avoid the unrealistic impression usually rendered by these kind of sets. To address that specific issue, wTVision partnered with a Spanish company -Atlantis Multimedia- whose young team of designers came up with an innovative visual concept that turned the TV screen into an ocean of well organized and eye-catching real-time data.
wTVision foresees the coming 2009 European Elections, Regional and General Elections in Europe as well as in other regions as new and bigger challenges, offering TV stations a global solution during an election day and enlarging its experience in over 40 provided elections services!
