Stereoscopic 3D in live sports reached TV audiences with Football and Tennis True 3D broadcasts.

wTVision steps up in the market showing once again its innovation and pioneering attitude with the latest 3D on-air graphics technology on sports live broadcast events.

The Slides CG Framework, which lives at the core of all wTVision solutions, is already prepared for STEREOSCOPY, enabling sports viewers to watch stunning True 3D on-air graphics on television, through an 3D enabled TV set and glasses.

Last week Portuguese and Belgium sports fans experienced one of the first live sports broadcasts in True 3D.

Last Saturday in Belgium, Belgacom TV broadcast a game with its facility partner Outside Broadcast where wTVision offered the first True 3D on-air graphics of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League match, Anderlecht – Sint-Truiden.
The first 3D Belgian Football Match was seen on several bars and cafes in Belgium installed with 3D screens.

On the same week, several matches of the tennis tournament Estoril Open, in Portugal, were broadcast in true 3D. These were the first true 3D live broadcasts in Portugal.
Produced for MEO IPTV distributor by Medialuso and wTVision, with the support of RTP and Lagos Sports, the graphics "magically" appeared floating “outside” viewer’s TV screens.

wTVision worked in close cooperation with Vizrt who provided their just released stereo graphics engines required to produce the stunning results in both cases.
