wTVision once again played a central role in the coverage of the 2025 Portuguese Legislative Elections, supporting two of the country’s main free-to-air broadcasters — RTP and TVI — with complete graphics packages, interactive tools, real-time data integration, and cutting-edge visual storytelling. With over a decade of experience in electoral broadcasts, wTVision reaffirmed its position as a trusted partner for high-impact, technically demanding live productions.

RTP: Panoramic LED wall, on-air graphics, and TouchScreen at the heart of the broadcast

For RTP, wTVision delivered a comprehensive graphics solution that included real-time on-air graphics, panoramic LED wall content, and an interactive TouchScreen system, which became the standout feature of the broadcast.

All graphical elements were managed using Elections CG, wTVision’s proprietary software designed specifically for electoral events, in combination with the powerful R³ Space Engine. The panoramic LED wall was a central visual element of RTP’s set, displaying official results, projections, regional breakdowns, and historical comparisons to support the narrative flow of the evening.

The TouchScreen served as the main control hub for launching graphics throughout the night. With an intuitive and responsive web-based interface, presenters could navigate through data, trigger visuals, and manage the LED wall content in real time, ensuring a smooth and autonomous on-air experience.

TVI: New graphic identity, AR visualizations, and interactive MagicWall

TVI relied on wTVision for a full graphics package, including a new on-air graphic identity, augmented reality visuals, LED wall content, full-screen graphics, livebars, leads, and data-driven overlays tailored to the live editorial flow.

Using Elections CG, wTVision provided dynamic on-air graphics such as animated bar charts, regional maps, transitions, and full-screen visuals. The broadcast design team was also responsible for implementing the newly developed visual identity across all assets to ensure brand consistency.

The highlight of TVI’s data presentation was the MagicWall, a touchscreen solution that allowed journalists to explore and analyse election data interactively. With features such as district zoom, comparisons with previous elections, and simulations of parliamentary majorities, the tool provided in-depth analytical support. It also featured a vote evolution slider that enriched the narrative throughout the night.

TVI’s augmented reality setup was seamlessly integrated with the LED wall, creating a cohesive and immersive visual environment. All components were fully synchronised with the data feed and adapted to the technical infrastructure of TVI and CNN Portugal, allowing for total presenter control and a consistent viewer experience.
