Broadcast Graphics and Scoreboard OCR for the Belgian Basketball League

wTVision is managing real-time graphics and data for this season’s EuroMillions Basketball League, Belgian’s professional Basketball league, in a partnership with DB Video.

For the 2018-2019 season, wTVision will be in charge of the broadcast graphics of one game every week, thanks to its very own software BasketballStats CG and wTVision’s real-time 3D render engine, R³ Space Engine, that seamlessly integrates with the rest of wTVision’s technology.

BasketballStats CG is used to gather stats through Fiba Live Stats v7 and control graphics like match statistic. During the game, data regarding the players’ performance is also broadcasted automatically, with no need for manual operation.

Finally, Scoreboard Eye was the backup software of choice to keep track of the score. Scoreboard Eye is an intuitive Scoreboard OCR (Optical Character Recognition) that tracks data displayed and allows time and statistics to be presented automatically in broadcast graphics, in real-time.

wTVision’s flexible software and workflow make it possible to control the entire operation with a single operator, that guarantees the quality and efficiency of the graphics on site and makes sure viewers at home always get the right information.
