Real-Time Graphics and Data for the AFC Asian Cup

In a partnership with Medialuso, wTVision managed data and real-time graphics for this year’s surprising AFC Asian Cup, that crowned Qatar as the new continent champions.

All graphic information, such as line-ups, individual performance statistics or goal scorers, was generated through a solution that combines wTVision’s FootballStats CG, a unique application capable of providing data and detailed Football statistics and turn them into broadcast graphics, and R³ Space Engine, a flexible real-time 3D render engine.

A team of wTVision’s specialists, from the Dubai and Lisbon offices, was present at all stages of the competition since the group fase until the thrilling final. wTVision’s intuitive and simple solution allowed all games to be managed by one single operator in each of the competition’s stages.

Besides all statistics and usual real-time graphics, wTVision also provided all graphic information regarding the VAR technology. To make sure viewers at home knew exactly what game plays were being analyzed and when, wTVision developed a set of graphics that gave better insights to the audience while VAR was being used.
