The return of the best league in the world demanded a new approach, a virtual crowd solution and the same commitment towards football fans all over the world. The LaLiga live broadcasts are back on wTVision’s schedule together with Mediapro.

wTVision is managing all real-time graphics of the competition thanks to a combination of FootballStats CG (a robust application that collects statistics and integrates third-party data and generates state-of-the-art broadcast graphics) and VIZRT Engine. Our highly-specialized staff is always on site, making sure on-air graphics are broadcasted at the right time.

Additionally, the Spanish Football League included some new features such as virtual stands and crowds, digitally recreated fan audio (provided by EA Sports) and new camera shots. All with the goal of creating the best viewing experience for the football fans at home.

wTVision provided the virtual stands and virtual crowd solution, controlling the augmented reality graphics from its studio in Barcelona. This immersive virtual solution was generated with VIZ Arena and controlled with FootballStats CG.

All graphics, including the new and dynamic virtual crowds, were implemented by wTVision’s broadcast design team in a combined effort with all Mediapro group companies that are involved in the live production of LaLiga. With no crowds attending the matches, it was essential to find an audiovisual solution to give the best experience to audiences at home.
