wTVision Delivers Multi-Language AR Graphics for 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores and SudamericanaDecember 12, 2025

Long-term partnership with Mediapro Argentina evolves into remote, data-driven AR productions for South America’s biggest club competitions

wTVision once again brought its real-time graphics expertise to CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana, delivering a full season of data-driven graphics and, for the 2025 finals, a new layer of multi-language Augmented Reality to one of the most-watched football events in the world.

Working closely with Mediapro Argentina, who operates all matches for both competitions, wTVision implemented the complete graphics package for the entire season. All traditional on-screen graphics were produced simultaneously in three languages – English, Spanish and Portuguese – with distinct sponsor configurations per language and region, using Viz Engines integrated with wTVision’s Football CG and real-time data from Opta.

For the 2025 campaign, the project went a step further. From the quarter-finals and semi-finals onwards, wTVision deployed AR³, its proprietary augmented reality system, to bring augmented reality graphics to the pitch. For the Libertadores and Sudamericana finals, the AR³ workflow scaled to three parallel wTVision render engines, enabling live AR content in all three languages on the world feed.

Operating from CONMEBOL’s hub in Buenos Aires, the AR production was delivered remotely, removing the need to send dedicated AR crews on site and significantly reducing logistical complexity. Football CG drove all overlay graphics, while Studio CG was used to trigger AR elements based on real-time events. Data from Opta reached the system via web sockets, and AR³ handled on-field tracking to anchor graphics precisely to the pitch.

The AR package combined editorial storytelling with sponsor visibility. Game intros, key player highlights, and player-versus-player comparisons helped set the stage before kick-off, while match scores, half-time and full-time stats, and “Player of the Match” graphics extended the narrative after the final whistle.

“This project is a great example of what our teams can do together when we combine long-term operational experience with remote collaboration,” said Jorge Kossowski, wTVision Account Manager in the U.S. “From developers and designers to the crew in Buenos Aires, everyone contributed to delivering a multi-language AR experience at scale for two of South America’s most important club competitions.”

The 2025 finals marked the second time wTVision supported the decisive stages of CONMEBOL’s flagship tournaments with AR graphics and the first time the AR layer was produced in multiple languages simultaneously. The centralized workflow improved AR³ performance compared to previous editions and created a repeatable model for future seasons, combining editorial flexibility, sponsor-driven storytelling and remote efficiency.

With this project, wTVision reinforces its role as a trusted partner for high-stakes football productions across the region, engineering graphics and data workflows that keep broadcasters, rights holders and fans fully in control of the live experience and true to the company’s vision: Inspiring Media Full Control.
