Designed for live shows or to record exclusive content, the strategic production facility is integrated in the company's headquarters in Lisbon and is powered by wTVision’s technology. The project adds one more innovative solution to wTVision’s integrated broadcasting workflows.
One of the biggest features presented by this new infrastructure is the integration of the Unreal Engine with R³ Space Engine (wTVision's real-time 3D render engine), making it easy to generate photorealistic virtual sets. The quality of the virtual scenography presented is the result of a unique system, that allows the implementation of innovative concepts and makes the best of the space, giving an accurate notion of depth and realism. With this solution, it is possible to create any type of environment, simulating both TV sets and exteriors.
Controlling the render engine is Studio CG, a powerful solution that allows productions to intuitively manage video and broadcast graphics.
The virtual set, that had its first live show in a partnership with Eleven Sports Portugal (for which wTVision developed a full service project from creativity to live shows), is equipped with a system that broadcasts and records content in UltraHD and 4K. Directors and production teams can also create virtual scenography and preview the final outcome on all robotic cameras. Additionally, it is possible to include live video inputs on the virtual set, mix them with the scenography or use them with augmented reality elements.
wTVision is able to create a complete studio workflow from scratch providing specialized operators, a broadcast design team to create the set, audiovisual specialists or is able to simply accommodate the show pre-existing staff into its facilities.
The location, integrated in the wTVision technological hub in Lisbon, offers speed and efficiency in solving the biggest technical challenges, enhanced by the proximity of different development teams.
