wTVision Closes IBC2026 with Strong Engagement Around Graphics and Connected WorkflowsSeptember 18, 2026

From award-winning real-time graphics to AI-Enhanced Augmented Reality, wTVision showcased the technologies shaping the next stage of live media production.

Four days in Amsterdam brought another successful IBC to a close for wTVision, with hundreds of visitors to the company’s stand from prospective customers, clients, partners and industry peers looking to explore the latest developments across graphics, media and live production.

Throughout IBC2026, wTVision presented a connected portfolio designed around a clear industry reality: media organizations are being asked to produce more content, across more formats and platforms, while maintaining operational control and efficiency.

The stand brought that vision to life through live demonstrations spanning News & Media, Live Sports, playout automation, studio production, Augmented Reality and immersive audience experiences.

A large-format LED wall powered by Alfalite became one of the most visible elements of the stand, drawing attention from across the exhibition floor while serving as a live environment for wTVision’s studio graphics workflows. Through wGWall, visitors could see how complex LED wall graphics can be managed within a controlled and consistent production workflow.

R³ Engine macOS Edition earns two Best of Show Awards at IBC2026

One of the major highlights of the show was the R³ Engine macOS Edition, which received two Best of Show Awards at IBC2026, presented by TV Tech and TVBEurope.

The latest recognition follows the TV Tech Best of Show Award received at NAB Show 2026, making the R³ Engine macOS Edition a three-time award-winning solution this year.

Developed natively for macOS using Apple Metal, R³ Engine brings professional real-time graphics rendering to Mac-based production environments. At IBC, visitors had the opportunity to see the technology in action and explore how software-defined graphics infrastructures can provide greater flexibility while maintaining the performance and reliability required for live production.

“IBC2026 was particularly meaningful for wTVision, both because of the conversations taking place at our stand and the industry recognition received during the show,” said Daniela Dias, Global Manager, Marketing & Communications at wTVision. “The visits over four days showed strong interest in the direction we are taking with graphics and connected workflows, while the two new Best of Show Awards for R³ Engine macOS Edition were an important recognition of the work behind that vision.”

Extending Augmented Reality with AI-Enhanced Scenes

Live Sports and Augmented Reality were also central to the IBC showcase.

Visitors explored the latest capabilities of AR³, including tied-to-the-field graphics, virtual advertising and 3D visual layers designed for sports venues. This year’s demonstrations also introduced AI-Enhanced Scenes, extending AR³ with a new layer of intelligence for live sports storytelling.

By combining sports data and visual context, AI-Enhanced Scenes opens new possibilities for richer and more dynamic Augmented Reality graphics while keeping production workflows efficient, scalable and ready for live environments.

Taking innovation from the stand to the Technical Papers Programme

The conversation around Augmented Reality also extended beyond the exhibition floor.

wTVision was selected to take part in the IBC2026 Technical Papers Programme, joining the XR & Multiview Developments session on September 12.

The presentation was conducted by António Piteira, VP of Engineering at wTVision, and explored research into video-only camera pose estimation and venue-aware AI for live sports production.

The work presents a software-defined approach to camera tracking that can reduce the need for dedicated tracking hardware, supporting more flexible deployment of real-time graphics and remote production workflows.

The research reflects the same broader direction seen across wTVision’s IBC showcase: using software, data and automation to simplify increasingly sophisticated live production environments.

One connected view of media production

Beyond the main technology highlights, visitors could also explore Studio CG and wMaps for News & Media workflows, with HighfieldAI integrated into the Studio CG environment as part of the newsroom production flow. The showcase also included ChannelMaker and Media Manager for channel operations and playout automation, and HoloGfx for immersive mobile Augmented Reality experiences.

Together, the demonstrations reflected a portfolio built not around isolated products, but around the way technologies connect inside real production environments.

As IBC2026 comes to a close, the conversations started in Amsterdam continue. For wTVision, this year’s edition reinforced a clear direction for the next stage of live media production: more connected workflows, greater flexibility and full control as graphics, content, data and production technologies increasingly come together.
