wTVision’s Robotic Dog Camera during live sports coverage at IPL 2025April 26, 2025

At wTVision, innovation is at the heart of everything we do, and our latest project - a robotic Dog Camera - made its debut during the IPL 2025, creating a memorable moment in sports broadcasting.

Unveiled during the Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals match at Arun Jaitley Stadium, this interactive, pet-like robot was developed in partnership with Omnicam and the BCCI. Designed to enhance audience engagement, the Dog Camera interacted with players, umpires, and fans in real time.

Our technical teams engineered a custom gimbal system, remote pan-tilt camera, and RF video setup, all housed in a lightweight, 3D-printed shell. The result was smooth, stable footage that brought personality to the broadcast without disrupting the game.

The response has been great. The video featuring the Dog Camera has crossed 5.8 million views and is generating hundreds of thousands of likes and shares. Fans called it heartwarming and one of the most enjoyable surprises of the season.

This project reflects wTVision’s ongoing commitment to pushing creative and technological boundaries in live sports production. As audiences look for more human and immersive viewing experiences, we’re proud to lead the way.

Divyajot Ahluwalia, Founder and Director of wTVision Solutions Pvt. Ltd. - wTVision’s office in India - said, “Seeing it live at the IPL, one of the world’s biggest sporting events, has been incredibly rewarding. This is what smart, emotional broadcasting looks like.”

With this project, wTVision once again redefines what’s possible in sports broadcasting: merging storytelling, technology, and fan engagement.
